Every serious dater knows by now
that there are a multitude of dating sites with mobile apps and apps
specifically for dating. The culture of dating truly has changed. Dating in
today’s world is all about a simple swipe and a picture that really does say a
thousand words. Apps like Tinder and Let’s Date have been around for a while,
but there’s a new kid on the block … and everyone loves new when it comes to
trying to find that special someone … right?
Swoon by Tagged Inc., was released in early April 2013 for
Android phones and then launched May 15 for the iPhone. Swoon boasts that using
a dual platform gives users a larger pool to um … fish from. The concept and
execution is super simple. Download Swoon, connect to your Facebook profile and
you’re good to go.
Nothing is posted onto your
Facebook page; Swoon simply utilizes the data to create your Swoon profile.
From that point, users are presented with information about possible love
interests. Each profile presented to the user is complete with a nice sized
picture and their relevant information. Swoon allows users to anonymously like
or pass on profiles. When there is a mutual like, users can then connect and
chat in the app.
Tinder did just release an app on
iTunes on May 23, but it has limited usability. Plus the Swoon app has an age
restriction. Other notable features:
Anonymously view profiles and like the ones that interest
you – skip those that don’t
See people who are a mutual match and find out when you both
like each other
In-app Messaging
Profile page with profile pictures you can edit
Sleek photo stack review
The Swoon app is free and can be found at iTunes.
